SUNS SONICS Recap

That wasn't the blowout I had expected, but a win is a win no matter what. The Suns had to rally from a 20-point deficit to win the game 104-96 due to an atrocious first quarter.

Suns-
  • Steve Nash got the double-double with 17 points and 10 assist, but also committed 5 turnovers.
  • With eleven points, 6 rebounds, and 3 blocks, Raja Bell also added the highest +/- rating with +13.
  • Grant Hill had a average night with 9 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals.
  • Shawn Marion 11 points, 14 boards, and 2 blocks with another multi-dimensional night.
  • Alando Tucker didn't hit the floor once.
  • Barbosa scored a sweet 16 off the bench.
Sonics-
  • Durant took 24 shots, making 11 of them en route a 28 points night with 7 rebounds and 2 blocks.
  • Earl Watson came fairly close to a trip-double with 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists, taking the loser's MVP award (MVP of the losing team).
  • Nick Collison grabbed 14 rebounds and fouled out with 6 PF's, while Jeff Green scored 14 points.
  • Chris Wilcox didn't even play 6 minutes, but shot 4 points and snagged 3 rebounds.
  • Former Sun Kurt Thomas got the team's only double-double with 14 points and 12rebounds.
The game's MVP was Amare Stoudemire who made 34 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Somehow, he managed a -2 +/- rating.
